A Blatant Robbery of God’s Altar: The Disgraceful Desperation of Suspended Archbishop Alexander Ibezim and His Despicable Multi-Billion Naira Land Heist

It is the ultimate tragedy of our moral decay when men who mount the pulpit to preach righteousness turn out to be ravenous wolves in sacred vestments. How Alexander Ibezim managed to climb the ecclesiastical ladder to become an Archbishop in the house of God is a chilling testament to how compromised institutional filters can sometimes be.

Today, his conduct regarding the monumental allegations of fleecing the church of billions of naira in lands and estates is beyond disgraceful. It portrays him not as a spiritual father, but as a chronic, cornered rogue fighting tooth and nail to protect his loot. The receipts, the petitions, and the unprintable accounts of what true worshippers and church patrons have to say about his financial recklessness are enough to make the heavens weep.

Instead of submitting to spiritual discipline, walking the path of repentance, or clearing his name before an independent ecclesiastical panel, Ibezim has resorted to jaw-dropping legal absurdity. Backed by his hired legal guns, including SANs like B.E.I. Nwofor, he has practically declared himself and his lawyers as the "Board" and sole proprietors of the Anglican Diocese of Awka.

Look at the sheer delusion dripping from their recent desperate communiques: threatening that if the Church of Nigeria (CoN) and Primate Henry Ndukuba do not let him keep his sticky fingers on stolen properties, they will unilaterally secede and "continue with the Church of England"!

Let us spell it out clearly so that the delusion can clear:

The Diocese of Awka belongs to the Church of Nigeria (CoN), not the Church of England (CoE). Ibezim and his tiny coterie of compromised loyalists are free to pack their bags, walk away into isolation, and establish personal communion with Canterbury. That is their democratic and personal right.

You cannot cede CoN’s sacred buildings, cathedrals, lands, and investments to a foreign church. That is a wild, criminal goose chase that will land them straight where they belong.

The Church of Nigeria severed ties with Lambeth long ago and stands firmly with GAFCON. Running to the UK or waving secular court injunctions from Anambra State will not save a thief from reckoning.

If Ibezim and his cohorts wish to test the iron will of the Church of Nigeria by attempting to hijack church assets, let them head to Lambeth—or anywhere else their sticky fingers take them. But they must be reminded that earthly court orders cannot rewrite canon law, and secular legal gymnastics will only fast-track their journey to prison disgrace.

The pulpit is not a sanctuary for land grabbers. The church of God belongs to the faithful, not to a desperate cartel of financial marauders. Ndi Anglican and all people of conscience stand solidly behind Primate Ndukuba and Supervising Bishop Samuel Ezeofor to purge the temple of this monumental rot!
