A tragic incident has reportedly occurred in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, where a football enthusiast identified as Chibuzor Nzediegwu, popularly known as "NZE," lost his life while watching the UEFA Champions League final.
According to reports, the deceased, a trader known for his involvement in the livestock business at Orie Uga Market, was among football fans gathered at a viewing center to watch the highly anticipated clash between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
Eyewitnesses said he suddenly collapsed during the second half of the match, prompting immediate efforts by those present to assist him. He was reportedly rushed to nearby medical facilities for emergency treatment.
Despite efforts by healthcare personnel to revive him, he was later pronounced dead.
While the exact cause of death has not been officially confirmed, reports suggest that a possible medical emergency, including complications related to blood pressure or a cardiac condition, may have been involved.
