"ANOTHER DISASTER IN ENUGU": TRAGEDY STRIKES AS ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT CNG BUS SUFFERS BRAKE FAILURE IN NSUKKA ACCIDENT

Grief, shock, and intense anger have swept through Nsukka, Enugu State, following a horrific road accident involving one of the newly deployed Enugu State Government CNG commuter buses, which suffered brake failure while in transit.

Eyewitness footage from the scene shows severe carnage along the road corridor, with multiple victims lying injured on the ground, a crushed commercial mini-bus, and the state-owned CNG bus displaying a completely shattered front windshield and damaged bumper. Horrified onlookers and local residents were seen rushing to assist victims, with many crying out in anguish and condemning the state's transport maintenance standards.

The horrific crash comes just weeks after the tragic air accident at Enugu Airport, leaving residents deeply traumatized and raising serious questions regarding public safety, vehicle testing, and transport fleet maintenance across the state. Agonized eyewitnesses on site voiced bitter frustration, questioning how newly commissioned state buses could suffer such catastrophic mechanical failures on public roads.

"How can a government bus lose its brakes like this? Just weeks ago, we were mourning the Enugu air accident, and now it is Peter Mbah’s CNG bus crushing innocent people in Nsukka! Our people are dying, residents are shouting, and nobody is taking responsibility for safety!"

Emergency responders and public-spirited citizens mobilized to evacuate the wounded victims to medical facilities in Nsukka. Meanwhile, local community groups and commuters continue to demand an immediate investigation into the mechanical condition of all state-owned CNG transit buses to prevent further loss of life.
