Chief Uche Nnaji Pledges Tax Relief And Business Support In New Month Message To Enugu Citizens

ENUGU, NIGERIA — As Enugu State enters the month of September, political figure and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Nwakaibie) has issued a goodwill message reaffirming his commitment to structural governance reforms and economic relief for state residents.

In statements released by media aide Ugochukwu Ezeh and campaign stakeholder Dr. Amos Okwudili Onovo through the Lion Building Media Team for Nwakaibie, Nnaji outlined a vision centered on economic revitalization, private enterprise support, and tax reform. Addressing the prevailing economic pressures on local businesses, Nnaji criticized high tax burdens, asserting that state fiscal policies should spur productivity and investment rather than cripple small enterprises and overburden citizens.

"September represents a new beginning, and together we shall build a greater Enugu founded on opportunity, dignity, and shared prosperity," the statement noted, framing Nnaji's campaign around sustainable development and open governance for both indigenes and residents.

The goodwill message reinforces Nnaji's broader campaign platform ahead of the 2027 governorship race, following his recent single-term pledge designed to respect regional zoning arrangements while focusing on rapid infrastructure and industrial development.
