Enugu 2027: Nwakabie Reaffirms One-Term Pledge Promises Sustainable Development and youth Empowerment .

The former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Enugu State, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Nwakaibie), held a strategic meeting with PDP stakeholders from the Enugu North Senatorial Zone, as well as victims of the electoral violence that marred the Enugu North Senatorial By-Election held on June 20, 2026.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Nnaji expressed profound appreciation to the people of Enugu North for their resilience, courage, and unwavering commitment to the PDP throughout the election. He maintained that the PDP legitimately won the senatorial election, alleging that the ruling party resorted to violence, intimidation, and other undemocratic tactics in an attempt to overturn the will of the people.

He assured party faithful that every lawful and constitutional avenue would be explored to reclaim the mandate freely given by the people of Enugu North. He urged members not to lose hope, emphasizing that the 2027 general election presents a greater opportunity for the people to freely determine their future.

Chief Nnaji reaffirmed his confidence in the people of Enugu State, expressing optimism that they would entrust him with the mandate to lead the state and deliver purposeful, people-oriented governance. He stated that his ambition is driven not by personal enrichment but by a genuine desire to build a prosperous and secure future for the youth and people of Enugu State.

He further reiterated that, by the grace of God, he has been abundantly blessed and has no personal need to seek public office for material gain. Rather, his mission is to lay a solid foundation for sustainable development, institutional reforms, economic growth, and youth empowerment. In keeping with this vision, he reaffirmed his commitment to serving only a single four-year term if elected Governor.

A major highlight of the event was the introduction of Dr. Gabriel Ezea from Nsukka Local Government Area, who addressed the gathering and revealed that he and Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji were classmates in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and graduated together. Dr. Ezea expressed surprise at claims questioning Chief Nnaji's graduation, describing such allegations as false and contrary to the facts he personally knows.

The meeting concluded on a high note, with stakeholders and supporters expressing gratitude to Chief Nnaji for his consistent concern for the welfare of his supporters across Enugu State. They pledged their unwavering support and reaffirmed their commitment to working tirelessly toward the realization of his governorship aspiration in 2027.If you intend to publish this as a press statement or social media article, I can also give it a more compelling, campaign-style tone while maintaining professionalism.
