Exposing the Grand Hypocrisy: How Peter Mbah’s Shoddy "Smart Schools" and Shifting Credentials Mock the Intelligence of Ndi Enugu
Let us strip away the high-sounding grammar, the orchestrated social media fanfare, and the desperate image-laundering of Peter Mbah’s media enablers to look at the raw, unvarnished failure staring the people of Enugu State in the face.
While aides like Ozo Ejike Okpe sit comfortably in air-conditioned offices crafting fairy tales about "building minds and shaping the future," reality tells a vastly different, tragic story. These so-called flagship "Smart Schools" have fast become monuments of substandard execution and grandiose scamming. Across multiple communities—from New Haven to Amagunze, Umunko, and beyond—these billion-naira structures have been repeatedly exposed by heavy rains and ordinary windstorms, with roofs blowing off, ceilings soaking, walls cracking, and entire buildings collapsing even before completing their first year! Is this the "transformational future" Peter Mbah is supposedly gifting our children—classrooms that turn into swimming pools and death traps at the first drop of rain?
Worse still, this hollow facade of competence crumbles entirely when one examines the character and credential gymnastics of the man occupying the Lion Building. The same administration that demands accountability from everyone else is hiding under a dark cloud of unresolved credential controversies. In 2023, high-sounding degrees and an NYSC certificate were brandished before INEC. Yet, fast forward to the 2027 race, and reports reveal a sudden, inexplicable regression to a basic WAEC certificate as the highest qualification presented. Where did the tertiary credentials go? Why the sudden somersault in official filings? An incumbent who cannot offer transparent, uncompromised answers about his own foundational records has zero moral authority to lecture anyone on standards.
Ndi Enugu are no longer blind to the grand deception. You cannot build a state on glossy PR campaigns while the primary schools crumble, secondary students starve in technical colleges, and basic accountability is thrown to the dogs. Peter Mbah and his team can shout to the universe all they want, but the loud reality of collapsed roofs, broken promises, and missing credentials cannot be washed away by empty propaganda. The people see through the incompetence, and no amount of sycophancy can save this sinking ship in 2027!
