Dr. Dennis Oguerinwa Amadi, touched down in Enugu and proceeded straight to the bereaved family of the late Ifeanyi Christopher Nworie.

​The young motorist was gruesomely cut down by stray bullets during the violent disruptions that marred political campaign activities in the state, leaving an 83-year-old mother and a devastated twin brother shattered by an irreparable loss. Out of deep respect for the family's mourning and the sheer gravity of the moment, Dr. Amadi deliberately kept the visit private—shunning media cameras and political theatre to share a genuine moment of sorrow with a family from his own political ward.

​During the visit, Dr. Amadi strongly condemned the killing, describing it as barbaric, unconscionable, and completely unacceptable. He sent a powerful warning to politicians, political office seekers, and overzealous supporters across the board, emphasizing that political competition must never come at the cost of human life.

​“Political competition must not come at the cost of human life, and all political stakeholders have a responsibility to protect peace and uphold the sanctity of life in Enugu State,” Amadi declared.
