Land Administration Reforms in Enugu State: Balancing Development with Property Rights
The truth is that before Peter Mbah became Governor, there were several cases of Land Grabbing.
Those in government have been using so many tricks and corner corner styles to grab people's lands in Enugu State.
Then Peter Mbah came and fully "legalized" it through his Executive Order that designated most timid rural areas and even forests in Enugu as urban areas.
Thereby LEGALLY Grabbing everybody's ANCESTRAL lands and forcing everybody to pay 300k or more to register one piece of their ancestral land or lose the land.
The law is already in effect.
He has not started full implementation because it might ruin his chances in 2027.
So now, you have two choices if you don't want the state government to grab your Ancestral land.
No. 1. Pay about 300k per plot of land to obtain the C of O and be the true legitimate owner of your Ancestral Land.
No. 2. Vote out Peter Mbah in 2027.
The two options are good. The third option is equally good.
That is, do nothing and lose your ancestral land.
Remember, you can't take him to court because he has made it LEGAL.
Scratch that.
