Mother Accuses Maduka University of Withholding Transcript After Alleged ₦2 Million Payment
According to the complaint, the issue began after the university reportedly increased tuition fees from ₦3 million to ₦4.5 million per academic session, a development that led the family to withdraw their daughter and seek transfer to another institution.
The mother alleged that when they requested the student’s transcript to facilitate the transfer, the university demanded an additional ₦2 million before releasing the document. She further claimed that even after making the payment, the transcript was still not released.
The situation has generated public reactions online, with many expressing concern over alleged fee increases and administrative practices in some private universities.
Calls have also been made for relevant authorities, including the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Enugu State Government, to investigate the matter and ensure fair academic and administrative procedures in private institutions.
