Passenger Alleges Flight Delays, Poor Service and Safety Concerns in Account of Enugu Air Experience
A passenger has shared a detailed account of what he described as a disappointing and distressing experience while travelling with Enugu Air in 2025, raising concerns about customer service, operational standards, and passenger comfort.
According to the account, the journey began with confusion over the airline's ticketing process, as the payment receipt reportedly bore the name of a private company rather than Enugu Air. The passenger claimed this created uncertainty about the airline's operational arrangements.
He further alleged that passengers travelling from Abuja to Enugu experienced a delay of more than four hours without any formal explanation or apology from the airline. When boarding was eventually announced, passengers were reportedly escorted from the terminal to the tarmac, where they discovered that the flight would be operated by an aircraft belonging to Air Senegal instead of what they had expected.
The passenger stated that the unexpected change of aircraft caused anxiety among travellers, adding that some were initially reluctant to board. He also alleged that the aircraft's air conditioning system was not functioning properly during the flight, making the journey uncomfortable.
Expressing relief that the aircraft landed safely in Enugu, the passenger nevertheless questioned the airline's operational standards and the quality of service provided. He also lamented the inconvenience caused to family members who had waited for several hours at the Enugu International Airport due to the prolonged delay.
The experience, he argued, underscores the importance of transparency, effective communication, and strict adherence to aviation safety and service standards. He suggested that operational lapses and negligence, if left unaddressed, could undermine public confidence in the aviation sector.
The account, attributed to Fra Francis OFMCap Media, reflects the author's personal experience and opinions. As of the time of reporting, Enugu Air has not publicly responded to the specific allegations.
