The Great Deception: Stripping Bare Peter Mbah’s "Sustainable Development" Propaganda While Enugu Bleeds From Sales of Public Assets and Rising Insecurity

It is the height of callous mockery to read orchestrated opinion pieces preaching "sustainable economic development" and sophisticated transitions while ordinary citizens of Enugu State are crushed under the weight of hunger, panic, and unrelenting insecurity. Let us boldly call out this grand deception for what it is: a desperate, high-priced public relations attempt to sanitize a failed government that has brought nothing but sorrow to the land of Ndi Enugu.

What kind of "development" is built on the ruins of our collective heritage? Governor Peter Mbah has systematically sold off and commercialized foundational government properties and public assets in Enugu, stripping the state of its prized possessions under the guise of investment. Yet, where is the money going? While our commonwealth is being auctioned away to cronies, what is the return to the common man?

The grim answer is written in blood and fear on our streets. Insecurity, tension, and a creeping atmosphere of intimidation have become the true hallmarks of this administration. Instead of safety, instead of empowerment, what the people get is an environment choked with political friction, where opposition voices are hunted, thugs run amok, and communities live in constant dread—all seemingly calculated to suppress dissent, terrify the electorate, and engineer a desperate blueprint to rig the upcoming 2027 elections.

You cannot mortgage the patrimony of a people, trade away their security for political control, and then run to magazine pages to lecture them on economic theories. Ndi Enugu are no longer fooled by empty terminology. No amount of sponsored propaganda can hide the truth of a government that sells our heritage, abandons the vulnerable, and delivers insecurity in exchange for our trust. The reckoning is coming, and no gimmick can save a sinking administration from the collective judgment of the people!
