Transport Benchmarking: Enugu Bus Terminal Delegation Visits Abia's Nnenna Oti Facility To Study Green Transit Model

UMUAHIA, NIGERIA — Executives from the Enugu Bus Terminal management team have concluded a facility inspection tour of the Nnenna Oti Bus Terminal in Umuahia, praising the Abia State Government for implementing modern transit infrastructure and sustainable fleet operations.

​The Enugu delegation, led by Managing Director Mr. John Eboh alongside Chief Orjiogbo C. and Legal Consultant Barr. Akwaugo U., was received by the Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport, Dr. Obioma Nwaogbe. The tour covered the terminal's operational layout, digital passenger log systems, solar-powered energy grid, and green shuttle fleet.

​Following the inspection, Eboh praised the facility's design and operational framework, describing it as a benchmark for regional transport management. He noted that observing Abia's integration of electric buses, solar infrastructure, and automated traffic flow offers valuable insights as Enugu State works to refine operations, resolve terminal management challenges, and improve facility utilization across its own transport hubs.
