Wendy Achumba: Suspects Reportedly Arrested Over Killing of Nursing Student in Imo State
There are reports from community and online sources that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of nursing student Wendy Achumba, who was found dead in her off-campus residence in Umuadara, Imo State.
According to the circulating accounts, neighbors discovered her body after gaining access to her locked room on May 21, following concerns over her whereabouts. The incident has since caused widespread shock and mourning within the area.
The suspects were allegedly identified as Onyema Okonkwo, a vulcanizer, and another individual named Emmanuel. It is further claimed that they were tracked and arrested through community information and police investigative efforts.
Some unverified reports also claim the suspects made confessional statements during interrogation, but authorities have not officially confirmed this at the time of reporting.
The victim, Wendy Achumba, was described as a nursing student who had recently completed her training and was preparing for a healthcare career.
