WHAT A DRAMATIC U-TURN!
The same Governor who spent the last three and a half years governing Ndi Enugu exclusively through Zoom — avoiding physical engagement with the people he swore to serve — has suddenly rediscovered his legs. Now he’s dancing in public, smiling for the cameras, and seeking direct endorsement as if the past years never happened.
This is the politics of pure deception.
For years, our mothers and vulnerable citizens were subjected to endless illegal levies and collections in markets and streets, while the Governor stayed comfortably behind his screen. He only stopped those exploitative practices now, right at the doorstep of election season, as if the suffering was never intentional.
He saw us through Zoom when it was convenient to stay distant. He collected what he could from the people when there was no immediate need for their votes. But the moment he needs our endorsement and our thumbs up again, Zoom is abandoned overnight, and suddenly he’s among the people, dancing like nothing happened.
If governance was truly through Zoom for three and a half years, then the endorsement and revalidation should also be done through Zoom. Let the same method that defined his administration decide his fate. Anything else is sheer opportunism — a desperate campaign that exposes the entire approach as inconsistent, disconnected, and built on convenience rather than genuine commitment.
Ndi Enugu are watching. The sudden public dance cannot erase the long years of virtual absence and the burden placed on our vulnerable families. Leadership is not a seasonal performance. It is consistency. And this flip-flop only makes the whole campaign look hollow.
