"YOU ARE WHY PEOPLE HATE TINUBU": CHIEF UCHE NNAJI FLAYS GOVERNOR PETER MBAH OVER ALLEGED SQUANDERING OF ₦1 TRILLION ENUGU ALLOCATIONS
Prominent political leader Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji (Nwakaibie) has launched an uncompromising assault on Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, exposing what he described as massive financial waste, anti-people policies, and total administrative failure in Enugu State.
Addressing a gathering of political stakeholders, civic groups, and media correspondents, Chief Nnaji asserted that despite receiving over ₦1 trillion in federal allocations and internally generated revenue, Governor Mbah has nothing to show for the colossal funds except excessive taxation, market demolitions, and widespread economic hardship. Nnaji stated emphatically that the administration's aggressive revenue enforcement and anti-grassroots policies have alienated the public, making Governor Mbah one of the primary reasons citizens harbor deep resentment toward President Bola Tinubu's administration in the South East.
Reaffirming his commitment to liberating the state from administrative oppression, Chief Nnaji declared that the time has come to hold the government fully accountable for every naira received. He called on all well-meaning citizens across the 17 local government areas to stand firm with the "Recover Enugu" movement to dismantle bad governance and restore hope, prosperity, and authentic leadership to Ndi Enugu.
"You are one of the main reasons people hate Tinubu in Enugu. Over ₦1 trillion has flowed into this state under your watch—more money than previous administrations combined—yet our traders are being taxed out of business, markets are being demolished, and our people are suffering. You cannot shut everyone up. We will recover Enugu State and give our people the governance they truly deserve."
Chief Nnaji’s bold declaration has resonated powerfully across the state, solidifying his position as the leading voice fighting for the welfare, freedom, and economic liberation of the people of Enugu State.
