Yul Edochie Sparks Reactions After Speaking on Marriage, Loss, and Polygamy in Podcast Interview

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has stirred public reactions after granting a podcast interview in which he spoke extensively about his personal life, marriage experiences, and views on relationships.

In the interview, Edochie reflected on getting married at the age of 22, noting that he spent much of his youthful years as a married man before experiencing major changes in his personal life.

He also spoke emotionally about the death of his son, Kambilichukwu, a tragedy that drew widespread sympathy across the country. However, his remarks describing the same year of the loss as his “best year” have sparked mixed reactions online.

Edochie further stated that many men live polygamous lifestyles privately but choose to conceal it, adding that he made a personal decision to be open about his own situation rather than hide it.

He also advised that men should be cautious about expressing emotional pain publicly over failed relationships, arguing that society often shows little sympathy toward men who display vulnerability in such matters.

According to him, public emotional expression by men is often misunderstood and can attract criticism rather than support.

The actor also claimed that while he maintains communication with his children, there is reportedly a court order restricting him from posting their images online amid ongoing divorce-related proceedings.
