Osun Central Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Defects from APC, Returns to PDP Over 2027 Ticket Dispute

Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing a breach of trust over the party's handling of the 2027 senatorial ticket. The Osun Central lawmaker said the APC failed to honour an agreed consensus arrangement and abandoned internal democratic principles. Declaring his intention to seek re-election under the PDP, Fadeyi described his decision as a stand for fairness, integrity, and respect for political agreements rather than an opposition to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
