Former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji has paid glowing tribute to renowned engineer, industrialist, and former Minister of Power, Professor Bart O. Nnaji, CON, NNOM, OON, FAS, FAEng, on the occasion of his 70th birthday. 

Chief Nnaji described Professor Nnaji as “an enduring institution whose life embodies engineering excellence, innovation, industrial transformation, and selfless service to humanity.” He noted that, beyond their shared heritage as proud sons of Nkanuland, alumni of St. Patrick’s Secondary School, Emene, and former Ministers, Professor Nnaji’s greatest distinction is the extraordinary impact he has made on Nigeria and Africa.

He commended Professor Nnaji’s pioneering role in transforming Nigeria’s power sector and his visionary belief that sustainable development begins with reliable energy, strong institutions, and innovation-driven industrialization. He also described Professor Nnaji’s transformational work in Aba as a model of how engineering can drive economic growth, create jobs, and uplift communities. 

Chief Nnaji further praised Professor Nnaji as an outstanding scholar, institution builder, and mentor whose legacy extends far beyond his personal achievements to the countless lives he has inspired and the institutions he has built.

Chief Nnaji congratulated Professor Nnaji on reaching the milestone of 70 years, praying that God grants him continued good health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of impactful service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity.
