INEC Declares Ademola Adeleke Winner of 2026 Osun Governorship Election
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party the winner of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
The Returning Officer for the election, Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, announced Adeleke as the winner after polling 511,067 votes.
His closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, secured 444,815 votes.
The declaration marked the conclusion of the collation process, with Adeleke emerging ahead of his major opponent by 66,252 votes.
The moment of the declaration was met with jubilation among supporters of the Accord Party, as the Returning Officer formally pronounced Ademola Adeleke the winner of the keenly contested governorship election.
