THE AJIBADE SUSPENSION : THE LEGAL MISSTEP THAT COLLASPED THE TURAKI FACTIONS APPEAL
The Fatal Mistake
The suspension of Ajibade the national legal Adviser who went ahead and filed Appeal No. CA/ABJ/CV/1631/2025 on 7th November 2025 was the real issue that the jurst used in burying the Turaki faction
The Court of Appeal held that:
His suspension immediately stripped him of all constitutional powers
Any legal action taken by him — or authorized by him — during suspension was a nullity
The appeal was incompetent and struck out
The Supreme Court affirmed this position by dismissing the Cross Appeal.
The supreme Court judgement basically reverted to the Fed High court ruling that invalidates the Turaki faction.
The suspension of Ajibade and Ajibade's continuous acting for the Turaki faction after his suspension was what sent the Turaki group packing and TURAKI (SAN) understands the judgement.
