Wike Departs for UK to Attend Daughter’s Graduation After Completing FCT Infrastructure Commissioning
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has travelled to the United Kingdom to attend his daughter's graduation ceremony, bringing to a close a demanding month-long schedule of project commissioning across the nation's capital.
Wike is accompanied on the trip by his close friend and associate, Chief Hon. Marcus Nle Ejii, the Executive Director of Projects at the South South Development Commission (SSDC).
The visit follows an intensive series of official engagements during which the FCT Administration commissioned numerous road, transport, and public infrastructure projects aimed at improving service delivery, enhancing connectivity, and promoting sustainable urban development across Abuja.
The commissioning exercise, which spanned several weeks, underscored the administration's commitment to accelerating infrastructure development and delivering key projects intended to improve the quality of life for residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
While the trip is primarily for a family milestone, it also marks a brief respite for the Minister after overseeing one of the most extensive project commissioning exercises undertaken by the FCT Administration in recent times. Wike is expected to resume official duties upon the completion of the visit.
