NYSC Announces Dates For 2026 Batch ‘C’ Registration, Mandates NERD Clearance For Prospective Corps Members

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Directorate Headquarters of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially announced the commencement date for the online registration of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) slated for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ mobilization exercise.

According to an official notice released by the Scheme, the online registration portal will open on Monday, September 7th, and close on Sunday, September 13th, 2026. PCMs across tertiary institutions nationwide and foreign-trained graduates are instructed to complete their online profile setup within the designated one-week window.

Central to this mobilization exercise is the strict enforcement of the National Education Repository and Databank (NERD) clearance requirement. Management emphasized that obtaining a valid NERD Clearance Certificate is mandatory prior to starting the NYSC portal registration.

The Scheme warned that any prospective corps member who fails to secure their NERD clearance will be barred from registering on the mobilization portal, operating under the strict directive: "No NERD Clearance, No NYSC Registration." Applicants are advised to process their academic record clearances early to avoid delays in their mobilization process.
