NDC Aspirant Demands Release of Official Primary Results, Raises Concerns Over Delay

A United States-based businessman and House of Representatives aspirant under the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Chidi Mike Anyanwu, has publicly appealed to the party leadership to release the official results of its recently concluded primary elections.

In a video circulating online, Anyanwu expressed concern over the delay in announcing certified outcomes for the Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe Federal Constituency primary, stating that prolonged uncertainty was creating anxiety among aspirants, delegates, and party supporters.

The aspirant also distanced himself from reports circulating on social media claiming that he had already emerged victorious, describing such reports as unofficial and misleading pending formal ratification by the party.

According to party procedures, the final validation and ratification of primary election results are expected to be handled by the National Executive Council and relevant party organs before any official declaration is made.

The delay has generated debate within political circles, with some aspirants and supporters calling for greater transparency and timely communication from party leadership, while others have urged patience until the completion of internal review processes.

Political observers note that delays in releasing primary election results often create room for speculation, competing claims, and internal disputes, particularly during highly contested electoral cycles.

Party officials have yet to issue a comprehensive statement on the timeline for the release of all official results, although expectations remain high that outstanding outcomes will be formally announced after the conclusion of internal verification and ratification procedures.
